On Oct. 21, 2009 a community meeting was held with the Baltimore Bureau of Water at which the Association and representatives of the community presented their objections to the proposed plan for the Reservoir. The City was requested to respond to a number of questions and to consider alternatives for the reconstruction that do not involve elevated storage tanks. Download the Association's presentation.
On January 19th there was another community meeting with representatives of the Baltimore Department of Public Works Bureau of Water to discuss plans for the Guilford Reservoir. The agenda addressed the Department's response to questions, concerns and suggested alternative proposals for the reservoir made at the Oct. 21, 2009 meeting. The modified plan selected by the City maintains the elevated storage tanks but proposes to cover them with earth and to create a green space. Download the City's proposed alternative plan.
